Car lands in reservoir, occupants rescued by Yonkers emergency services personnel

Rescuers bring people to safety

YONKERS – Three occupants of a car were saved by Yonkers emergency
services personnel when their vehicle crashed into the Grassy Sprain Reservoir.

Quick response by Yonkers city personnel was able to rescue the three
people and bring them to safety via ropes and a bridge.

Police did not say what caused the vehicle to run off the road and into
the water.
