Terpening
KINGSTON – A Town of Esopus man is in the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail after his arrest on a charge of course of sexual conduct against a child as a felony.
An order of protection was also issued against Michael Terpening, 60, on behalf of the victim and her family.
The Ulster County District Attorney’s Office, Family and Child Advocacy Center and Ulster County Child Protective Services with the assistance of the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into a report that a four-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted. That investigation led to Terpening, who allegedly assaulted the little girl on numerous occasions.
The investigation is continuing. Authorities ask anyone with information about Terpening to call them at 845-334-5155.
