Two arrested for Rockland car wash break-in

WEST NYACK – Clarkstown Police arrested two men on charges that they burglarized the Route 59 Car Wash at 257 Route 59 in West Nyack.
At 10 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, officers responded to the business after a witness called to report suspicious people in the area. The caller new the business was closed for the day.
Patrols conducted a search and found the two men inside the building. Both were arrested and over $400 in stolen money was recovered.
John Carlos Veras, 21, of Nyack, a former employee of the car wash, and Angel Gomez, 22, of Nyack, were charged with felony burglary and misdemeanors of petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.  They are in the Rockland County Jail.  Bail was set at $25,000 for Veras and $15,000 for Gomez.
