MONTICELLO – A Monticello man was committed to the Sullivan County
Jail in lieu of $150,000 cash bail or $300,000 bond following his arrest
Friday.

Monticello Police Chief Robert Mir said Bruce Moses, 43, was arrested
following the warrant search at his Mill Street residence where investigators
seized several bundles of heroin as well as a loaded firearm, which Moses
illegally possessed.

He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession
of a controlled substance, both felonies.

Sullivan County District Attorney James Farrell credited the investigation
and arrest to the cooperation between local police investigators, “who
know their neighborhoods well and are committed to keeping our communities
safe, and are an invaluable resource in combating drug dealers and violent
crime.”
