GOSHEN – An official of the Legoland company gave local journalists an overview look of the site of the proposed Goshen theme park.
Phil Royle took reporters over the site by helicopter on Tuesday to show distances between existing housing and assisted living facilities.
”This patch of grass that is now directly on your right hand side,”
he said. “This is essentially where the bulk of the theme park will
be. I think you will be able to see the distance between Arcadia Hills
and the theme park.”
Royle also pointed out where a new Route 17 interchange would be constructed to mitigate any traffic issues.
Merlin company officials are seeking final approvals from the Town of Goshen soon so that the project can move forward. Opponents are still hoping to block the massive project on environmental grounds.

Legoland would occupy the mostly open area above Route 17
