Fellow officers from around the region gathered
for the funeral
at Holy Name of Mary Church
in Montgomery.

MONTGOMERY – Hundreds of fellow police officers from across the region came to Holy Name of Mary Church in Montgomery on Friday to pay their respects to Walden Police Office Dustin James. The 31-year-old officer, who also worked part-time for the Montgomery Village Police Department, was killed on Tuesday, April 18 when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car in Gardiner.
James was president of the Walden PBA and had the respect of everyone who knew him, those who spoke said.
He started his career 10 years ago as a dispatcher with the Town of Fishkill
Police and was promoted posthumously to the position of investigator in
the Walden department.
He is survived by wife, his parents, siblings and several other relatives.
