Verraine
KINGSTON – A Phoenicia woman has been indicted by an Ulster County
grand jury on a charge of manslaughter in connection with the death of
the man with whom she lived.
Solane Verraine, 63, was charged in the indictment with intentionally
causing or aiding John Owings, Jr., 65, to commit suicide.
At the time of Owings’ death on November 19, 2016 at 46 Route 214
in Phoenicia Verraine was charged with murder for allegedly feeding him
a combination of alcoholic beverages and prescription drugs.
Police were called to the scene that evening where Verraine was questioned
and later charged.
