WHITE PLAINS – Companies have until mid-July to submit their proposals to manage Westchester County Airport on a long-term lease through a public-private partnership.
One of the early submissions comes from HPN Aviation Group, which is headed by Thomas Bosco, a former head of the Aviation Division of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. That agency operates JFK, Newark, LaGuardia and Stewart airports.
Should Bosco’s group be selected, he said they have plans to improve the operations of the Westchester Airport passenger terminal.
“We fully intend to comply with the existing terminal use agreement, which is actually written into county law and it basically limits the number of passengers in the terminal to 240,” Bosco said. “What we are also going to look at is reconfiguring that terminal to make it more efficient and more customer- friendly.”
Once the July 14 proposal submission date has been reached, all proposals
will be vetted by county officials.
