Anticipated visitors at Legoland will be less than existing attractions, says company official

TOWN OF GOSHEN – If the Legoland theme park is approved for construction in the Town of Goshen, it would accommodate 1.5- to 2.5-million visitors per year, according to parent company, Merlin Entertainment.
While opponents claim that will clog area roads, Legoland’s Phil Royle said the anticipated number of guests is smaller than existing venues.
He said the Galleria at Crystal Run in the Town of Wallkill has 8 million
visitors per year while Woodbury Common gets 14 million and West Point
plays host to 3- to 4-million visitors per year.
Legoland officials also maintain that their guests would be traveling in the opposite direction and would have no impact on traffic in the area.
