FALLSBURG – The transfer of the former Sullivan Annex state prison to the Town of Fallsburg should be finalized later this year.
Supervisor Steven Vegliante said his town has long-term plans for the
45-acre facility.
“We need to find some relatively expensive grants and loans,” Vegliante said. “We need to put a whole program together. It is not something that would happen overnight; it would probably take a couple of years.”
The plan involves developing a town government complex on the property, which the state will transfer to the town for $1.
