NEWBURGH – The State Department of Health will conduct public information sessions for Newburgh area residents tomorrow to discuss blood test results and response to PFOS contamination.  Both sessions will be held on Thursday, March 30 at the Newburgh Armory Unity Center – from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Health department staff will be on hand to present blood test results and answer questions from residents who are concerned about past exposure to PFOS.
The city’s water supply, Washington Lake, was identified to be contaminated by PFOS from firefighting foam used at the Stewart Airport Air National Guard Base. That water supply was taken off-line last year.
