ELLENVILLE – Police in Ellenville are looking for a local man wanted for burglary and other charges in connection with the break in at an ex-girlfriend’s residence.
Village Police said Rasheed Sheik Hassan, 24, is wanted for burglary, criminal contempt, aggravated family offense, unlawful imprisonment and endangering the welfare of children. He allegedly forced his way into the woman’s home in violation of an order of protection, stole property, threatened her and refused to let her leave.
Police said he has resisted arrest in the past.
Hassan, whose alias is “Sheik,” is described as being five-feet, three-inches tall, weighing 145 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo with the name “Zeeda” on his right shoulder.
