Yonkers man pleads guilty in stabbing death

WHITE PLAINS – A Yonkers man faces up to 25 years in state prison following his guilty plea to a charge of manslaughter in connection with the stabbing death of another man.
Joseph Graham, 37, also pled guilty to criminal possession of a weapon.
He argued with Clarence Vanhook late in the afternoon of September 12, 2016 while both were in the vicinity of 5 South Broadway in Yonkers. They became engaged in a physical confrontation at which time Graham stabbed Vanhook in the chest with a large knife. The victim died shortly after being rushed to the hospital.
Yonkers Police officers spotted Graham based on the description given by witnesses and he was apprehended while walking on North Broadway.
He will be sentenced in May.
