ALBANY – The job of physical therapist tops the list of job titles
in the Hudson Valley likely to see greater than average growth and salaries
this year, according to the state Labor Department.
The average salary for persons hold jobs as physical therapists in the
Valley is $91,630.
Registered nurses come in second with average salaries of $82,230. Accountants
and auditors rank third with average salaries of $77,940.
Biochemists and biophysicists are fourth with average salaries of $73,260
and electricians, at average salaries of $58,520, are fifth in the top
trending jobs.
“A variety of new and exciting sectors are seeing tremendous growth
in our state,” said Labor Commissioner Roberta Reardon. “New
York’s private sector job count is at an all-time high and the state’s
economy continues to diversify with many new and exciting industries taking
root here.”
