TARRYTOWN – A woman was injured late Tuesday morning while she was, as the Metropolitan Transportation Authority calls “an unauthorized” person on the tracks.
The victim was transported alive and conscious to Westchester Medical Center, according to a railroad spokeswoman, who said it appears there was no criminality involved in the incident.
The victim, whose name was not released, was struck at around 11:15 a.m. by a southbound train.
MTA Police continue to investigate.
