POUGHKEEPSIE – Two suspects are in the Dutchess County Jail in connection with the stabbing of a man Sunday night.
Charged with armed robbery are Liam Gannon, 20, of LaGrange, and Damon Luttrell, 17, of Beacon.
The 21-year-old victim had come to Poughkeepsie with the intent to purchase marijuana. City police said the two suspects, both of whom know him, lured him to the area of 534 Main Street with the intent of stealing his money. As they carried out their plan, one of the two stabbed the man in the back causing serious internal injury.
The victim was able to get to Vassar Brothers Medical Center where he underwent surgery.
