STONY POINT – Police are continuing to investigate the cause of an accident in which a woman was struck and killed by a pickup truck she had just exited.
The victim was identified as Ashley Badenchini, 25, of Stolen Point. Police said that at around 2:11 a.m. on Sunday, she got out of the vehicle in the driveway of 55 Thiells Road in Stony Point when it struck her. She was transported to Westchester Medical Center where she died from.
Local police were assisted by the Rockland County Sheriff’s BCI, Stony Point Volunteer Ambulance Corp. and Rockland Paramedic Services.
An autopsy has been scheduled.
