NEW YORK – The Port Authority Board of Directors later this week will consider approval of a land lease at Stewart Airport for Taylor Jet Center to construct a 10,000 square foot aircraft hangar.
The facility would be located on a small piece of airport property along Route 17K in the Town of Newburgh.
The company has a presence at the airport currently, renting hangar space for its aircraft and expects to house them in their own facility once approved.
The Port Authority Board is also going to entertain a proposal to extend the Stewart air service development incentive program beyond its March expiration date. Airport officials hope to keep it going for another two years.
The program was successful in attracting Allegiant airline to the Hudson Valley and officials believe it can be useful in attracting other airlines.
