CONWAY, SC – The former president of the Orange County Chamber
of Commerce, John D’Ambrosio, retired to South Carolina two years
ago to enjoy, among other things, his beloved game of golf.
He recently came out of retirement to head up the Better Business Bureau of Coastal Carolina, a 15-county agency rating businesses in North and South Carolina.
The chairman of the board of the BBB, Carl Mitchell, said D’Ambrosio is a welcomed addition to the organization.
“He actually is operating for us as a change agent, coming in and
looking at the processes, what we did wrong, what we have done right,
what could be slightly changed and he is making great enhancements,”
Mitchell said.
In the few short months that “Dr. John” has been at the helm, “he has become the face of the Coastal Carolina BBB,” said Mitchell.
D’Ambrosio is thrilled to be back in the business community.
“It’s fulfilling at the end of the day because I am working with the business community, it is a lot of fun and it is gratifying and the standards are very high for our businesses,” D’Ambrosio said.
