WAWARSING – A hiker who fell from a cliff at the Sam’s Point
Preserve in the Town of Wawarsing shortly after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January
18, remains in critical condition at Orange Regional Medical Center in
the Town of Wallkill, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office reported
on Thursday.
Deputies, park rangers and fire and rescue personnel responded to the
scene and the victim was located and transported to the hospital.
An investigation into the incident is continuing.
