ALBANY – Assemblyman Karl Brabenec (R, Deeerpark) is the latest to criticize Governor Cuomo for commuting the sentence of Brinks armored car robber Judith Clark.
Calling the governor’s move “ill-advised,” the lawmaker said it is “yet another slap in the face to every police officer serving our state [and] just serves to further endanger our brave men and women in blue.”
Brabenec said it is “embarrassing and shameful that Governor Cuomo would rather stand with a domestic terrorist and murderer, than stand with the thousands of police officers that put their lives on the line every day to protect us.”
During the 1981 Brinks robbery in Rockland County, three men were shot and killed, including a Brinks guard and two police officers.
Clark, 67, was the getaway driver and did not participate in the actual shooting.
