Town of Newburgh incident between relatives leaves one man stabbed

TOWN OF NEWBURGH – A 33-year-old
man suffered from several stab wounds when he was assaulted, allegedly
by a 32-year-old male relative in the Town of Newburgh on New Year’s
Day.

Town Police were called to a residence on West Stone Street at around
5:39 p.m. for a report of vandalism that just had occurred.

They found an occupant of the house in the street with the stab wounds
and he was taken to the Newburgh of St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital.

The relative was taken into custody as the investigation continues and
charges are pending.
