HUGUENOT – A 12-year-old girl who was attempting to cross Route
209 in the Huguenot section of the Town of Deerpark was struck by a car
traveling northbound, State Police reported on Thursday.
The incident occurred at around 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28. The
car did not stop.
The girl was brought to Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis
by ambulance and airlifted to Westchester Medical Center where she was
admitted with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are seeking the public’s help in the investigation and ask
