Dutchess County SPCA gets $10,000 grant

HYDE PARK – The Dutchess County SPCA received a $10,000 grant through the Marion E. Cantwell Testamentary Trust to support the group’s microchipping initiatives and animal medical clinic, funding laboratory fees and special surgery.
Marion Cantwell was a lifelong animal lover and shelter volunteer, and the Marion E. Cantwell Charitable Trust continues to support the lifesaving work of animal shelters and sanctuaries.
The Dutchess County SPCA is the third oldest animal shelter in the US, serving the homeless animals of Dutchess since 1871.
