New Windsor woman, on the lam for four years, arrested for jumping bail

FISHKILL – State Police
in Wappinger arrested a New Windsor woman on a charge of felony bail jumping.
Police said Venus Worthy, 42, was arrested in 2011 on felony charges
of grand larceny and falsifying business records following an investigation
into her fraudulently taking over $13,000 in unemployment benefits.
A bench warrant was issued for her arrest after she failed to appear in court in 2012.
Worthy, who was arrested on December 22, was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond.
