NEW WINDSOR – A one-car crash in New Windsor Thursday evening claimed the life of the driver.
Town police said the 6:45 p.m. crash occurred on Route 9W just north of Old Route 9W.
Police said the vehicle had gone off the road and struck a tree. The sole occupant died at the scene. The victim’s identity was withheld pending notification of relations.
The accident is under investigation by the New Windsor Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team and Detective Division. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to call the New Windsor Detective Division at 845-565-7000.
