WAPPINGERS FALLS – A local woman, who was found unresponsive, not breathing and with no pulse, lying on a laundry room floor of a Wappingers Falls residence, was revived when village police officers administered Narcan. The miracle drug is used to reverse effects of heroin overdoses.
Detective McHugh and Officer Wilson administered the nasal drug when they responded on the evening of November 30. Shortly thereafter, the woman became more responsive and a pulse was present.
Arriving paramedics took over care and transported her by Mobile Life ambulance to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie.
