GOSHEN – Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus said on Tuesday that he is likely to sign the county budget for next year into law.
The county legislature approved the more than $700 million spending plan with about $200,000 in added expenditures and Neuhaus said he will take a close look before he signing it.  His original budget proposal reduced the tax levy slightly
“I just have to digest to make sure it has no impact on the tax levy but it looks great,” the county exec said. “We had a great meeting [Monday] and you talk about getting things done, the momentum is in our sails right now.”
Neuhaus expects to take action on the budget before the end of the week.
