NEW WINDSOR – Allegiant Air, which operates flights to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina from Stewart Airport during the summer months, is going to expand that service in the new year.
The airline has been flying roundtrips on Thursdays and Sundays during its June through September schedule, but that is going to get better, Stewart General Manager Ed Harrison told members of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday.
“Allegiant has notified us that they will be adding additional frequency to Myrtle in 2017 while also expanding the flight season on both ends,” Harrison said. “Next year we will have more weekly flights; they will start earlier in the spring and continue later in the fall.”
Allegiant also operates year-round twice weekly roundtrip flights to
Florida.
