Todora: “… transformation …”

MONTICELLO – The New York State Conference of Local Mental Hygiene Directors has named Sullivan County’s Division of Health and Family Services Commissioner, Joseph Todora, as the new chairman. Most recently, he was first vice chairman.
“The leadership and membership of the Conference will continue to advocate for people we serve with mental illness, substance use disorders and developmental disabilities so they may live full and productive lives in their communities,” Todora said. “The transformation of New York’s behavioral health system is rapidly moving ahead and I look forward to working with my DCS colleagues and our state partners to help shape the implementation of this effort for the better.”
In addition to Todora service as commissioner of Health and Family Services, he is also director of community services. As such, he is one of five DCS directors in the state with dual roles as DC and Department of Social Services commissioner.
