Four Ulster men charged with child support offenses

KINGSTON – Four Ulster County men were arrested this past week by
the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office as it participated in the 14th
Annual Domestic Violence Apprehension Detail organized around the country
by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office in Oregon.

The event coordinates participating police agencies to execute warrants
for family-related and child support offenses.

In Ulster, the four people arrested were:
• Jason Byrd, 34, of Kingston, charged with failure to obey a child
support order. He was released on his own recognizance.
• Erick Lozano, 27, of Kingston. He was remanded to the Ulster County
Jail in lieu of $3,400 cash bail or $10,000 property bond.
• Anton Armstead, 32, of New Paltz, who was arrested on a bench
warrant for non-support. He was released on his own recognizance.
• Enrique Plaza, 24, of Saugerties, who was arrested and charged
with failure to obey a child support order. He was remanded to the county
jail in lieu of $9,260 cash bail or $92,000 property bond.

All four men were arrested on October 19 and 20.
