Woman attacked in Poughkeepsie’s Spratt Park

POUGHKEEPSIE – City Police in Poughkeepsie are investigating an attack on a woman in Spratt Park.
The victim told police that on Monday, October 17 while she was reading
near the pool, a man in his 50s or early 60s punched her in the head and
attempted to tear her clothes off.  She was able to fight the man
off and call 911. The man fled on foot in an unknown direction.
The attacker was described as wearing scraggly, dirty clothes, with thin build, not tall, with a dark beard with gray in it, and dark hair.
