BEACON – An Ossining resident, who was a passenger in a car, died from injuries he sustained when the vehicle rolled over on Washington Avenue in Beacon on Tuesday.
Jabari Hylton, 22, died at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh hours after the crash.
The driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old Beacon man, was not charged criminally, but was issued traffic summonses.
Police Chief Douglas Solomon said speed may have been a contributing factor in the accident, which resulted in injuries to the driver. He said no drugs or alcohol appeared to have been involved in the accident, which remains under investigation.
