POUGHKEEPSIE – The funeral for State Police Investigator Paul Stuewer will be held on Wednesday morning at Saint Martin de Porres Roman Catholic Church in Poughkeepsie.
Stuewer died on October 5 from an illness stemming from his assignment at the World Trade Center following the September 11 attacks.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the William G. Miller and Son Funeral Home in Poughkeepsie.
Stuewer, a Dutchess County resident, was a 26-year veteran of the State
Police, having served as a trooper with Troop K headquartered in Poughkeepsie,
until his promotion to investigator in 2004.
