The accident, just before 6:30 p.m., happened when a 16-year-old female, driving in the opposite direction near Berea Road, drifted into the oncoming lane and crashed into the other vehicle. She was taken to Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill and listed in stable condition.
Police are listing sun glare as likely cause for the crash as the teenage driver was adjusting her visor.
