CROTON – The Metro-North Railroad Croton-Harmon station renovations have been completed.
The $3.6 million project involved station structural renovations and aesthetic improvements. New wall panels, floor tiles, ceiling tiles, finishes, fixtures and air conditioning have been installed with modifications to stair portals, illuminated overhead signage and LED lighting.
New site specific artwork was commissioned for the station depicting local landscapes through four seasons and the iconic Croton Dam.
“The Croton-Harmon station is vital to the countless residents in our community who rely on its convenience and service to New York City and all points in between,” said Village of Croton-on-Hudson Mayor Dr. Gregory Schmidt.
Town of Cortlandt Supervisor Linda Puglisi said the upgrades and improvements “will make a real positive difference in [the] quality of life” for the thousands of commuters who use the station.
