Cold case murder of 20-year-old woman remains under investigation

PINE ISLAND – State Police continue to investigate the death of
a 20-year-old woman whose body was found over six years after she disappeared.

Dawn Marie Marino was last seen standing in the parking lot of the Corner
Tavern Bar near the intersection of Liberty Corners Road and County Route
1 in Pine Island on May 16, 1981.

On October 31, 1987, her remains were found on property on Little York
Road in the Town of Warwick, some five miles from where she was last seen
alive.

Police have followed hundreds of leads and conducted many interviews,
but the case remains unsolved and under investigation.
