WHITE PLAINS – A Mount Vernon woman faces up to 5 years in state
prison when sentenced in September on her conviction to manslaughter and
leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in a death.

Carla Scott, 26, was found guilty in a jury trial of running over Glynis
Pinto with her vehicle as the victim stood in front of her car in Yonkers
on April 18, 2015.

Scott then fled the scene and was arrested four days later after a joint
effort by the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, Yonkers
Police and FBI.

She is being held without bail pending her sentencing.
