PHILADELPHIA – Hudson Valley Congresswoman Nita Lowey (D-NY17) is a delegate to the Democratic National Convention being held this week in Philadelphia.
Lowey, 79, one of the most powerful Democrats in the House, has been a delegate many, many times.
“As far back as I can remember,” she said. But when pressed for the first convention she attended as a delegate, Lowey could not remember.
She will have a role in this year’s.
“I am even speaking; you can applaud for me in your living room,” she quipped.
When asked over the weekend what she will talk about, she said that was still being developed.
