WAWARSING – A 20-month-old child is being treated at Westchester Medical Center with what authorities said are serious head injuries.
At about 2:30 p.m. on Friday, the child ran into the path of a van moving at a slow speed in a driveway on Tamarack Road in the Town of Wawarsing.
Prior to the accident the parents were with the child along the side of the driveway between two buildings when the child ran from them and was struck.
The investigation is continuing.
