VALHALLA – The four-year-child, who fell into a summer bungalow
colony swimming pool on Mount Hope Road in the Town of Bethel Sunday afternoon,
died Monday morning.
The child, identified as Shimon Weiss of Brooklyn, had been airlifted
from Catskill Regional Medical Center to Westchester Medical Center Sunday
night, said Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty.
The pool had not yet been open for the season when the youngster walked
over to it and fell in.
