Man shot for second time

POUGHKEEPSIE – A 22-year-old Poughkeepsie man is in the hospital
being treated for a gunshot wound and Poughkeepsie Police are investigating
the incident.

This is the second time the man was the victim of a shooting.

City police were called to the area of Soldier’s Fountain at 5 p.m.
on Friday, July 8 for a report of a possible shooting victim at 120 Market
Street.

Officers found the man in the parking lot of 22 Montgomery Street. He
was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound, which
police said does not appear to be life threatening.

The victim told police he did not know who shot him, but investigators
said they believe he was the intended target.
