PLATTEKILL – Members of the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team (URGENT) arrested a Plattekill man for drug sales.
Since earlier this year, URGENT has been investigating the sale of narcotics in the Town of Plattekill.  Purchases of crack cocaine were made from Joseph Polemeni, 64, of Modena.  On Thursday morning, a search warrant was executed at his residence at 470 Freetown Highway in the Town of Plattekill.  Located during the search was a small amount of cash, a digital scale with cocaine residue on it, packaging material and prescription medication without a container.
Polemeni was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal nuisance, all felonies as well two misdemeanor counts. He is in the Ulster County Jail awaiting an appearance in Plattekill Town Court.
