Del Vecchio, left, welcomed veteran actor Danny Aiello
to this year’s red carpet

MIDDLETOWN – Now that the fourth Hoboken International Film Festival was held in Middletown last week, its founder said Monday he would like to keep it in the city.
Kenneth Del Vecchio is in talks with Mayor Joseph DeStefano. The festival leader said this year’s event drew some 15,000 people.
“It has become a staple in Middletown,” Del Vecchio said.  “I want it to remain there because this area is now my home. I think that no matter what, I think almost definitely I would be staying in Orange County because there are a couple of towns in Orange County that have reached out to me. That aside, my goal is to stay in Middletown.”
Del Vecchio said the festival each year pumps millions into the local economy and draws actors and filmmakers to the region, resulting in film production throughout the year.
