NEW ROCHELLE – The City of New Rochelle is reactivating its valet parking services in the downtown area beginning this Memorial Day weekend.
This white-glove service allows downtown restaurant patrons to drop off their cars at the Library South parking lot and pay a flat $5 fee to park until midnight, eliminating the need to circle the neighborhood looking for a metered spot.
The program is part of the Downtown Business Improvement District’s efforts to make the area a more pleasant experience in which to partake. Ralph DiBart, the BID executive director, said the attended parking program “will increase public access to convenience and safe parking near many of our most popular restaurants during the busy summer weekends.”
City Development Commissioner Luiz Aragon said the parking program “is just another component of our multi-faceted approach to building the economy in our downtown.”
