FAA awards Westchester County Airport over $3.8 million for upgrades

WHITE PLAINS – The Federal Aviation Administration granted Westchester County Airport over $4.8 million to complete two projects.
Just under $2.8 million will be used to complete the final phase of the
construction of stormwater collection and detention facilities to improve
drainage for stormwater runoff. The remaining more than $1 million will
be used for the final phase of milling and overlay to rehabilitate 3,000
feet of the airport’s existing main entrance road to preserve access
to the facility.
The funding is part of the FAA’s Airport Improvement Program and was announced by areas House members and New York’s two senators.
