Galarneau: “.. a lot of positive things for Sullivan County …”

HARRIS – Staying dry at the front entrance and enjoying a latte at a Starbucks concession, just inside the main lobby, are two of the latest enhancements that add to a better experience at Sullivan County’s main hospital.
Catskill Regional Medical Center CEO and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Gerard Galarneau, along with several other officials and staff members, were proud to show it all off on Tuesday.
“First thing you see is that beautiful parking lot that is now safe, and the canopy outside, which not only is beautiful but it’s also beneficial to people to come in when it’s raining,” Galarneau said.  “So, that comforting sort of welcoming environment, and then, the coffee, that Starbucks, was the choice of the staff.”
Galarneau said this caps off significant three years of growth at the Harris hospital.
“Whether it’s becoming a designated stroke center, or the renovations that we’ve been doing, the urgent care that’s coming, there’s a lot of positive things for Sullivan County and for the health of the people in this community.”
CRMC is the sister hospital to Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill.  Both are part of the Greater Hudson Valley Health System.

The ribbon-cutting honors were given to Robert Green, of Green Auto and Trucks, which donated
$20,000 to the hospital
