TOWN OF ULSTER – The Thruway
traffic circle in the Town of Ulster was shut down for some two hours
on Monday when the load of construction material on a flatbed 18-wheeler
shifted causing the truck to overturn.
No one was injured.
Ulster Town Police said Jason Katz, 56, was driving the truck for the
A.H. Harris Construction Company of Watervliet and as he drove easterly,
the load shifted, broke free and spilled onto the road, cashing the vehicle
to overturn.

Both lanes were partially blocked on the traffic circle, causing it to
be shut down.
No tickets were immediately issued pending an investigation.
Ulster Police were assisted by the Ulster Hose Fire Department, Kingston
Police, State Police, and State Departments of Environmental Conservation
and Department of Transportation.
