NEW WINDSOR – The Accelerator, located with the Orange County Industrial Development Agency offices adjacent to Stewart Airport, is the only state-certified business incubator in the Mid-Hudson Valley.
As such, it can work with start-up businesses throughout the region as it has been, noted Laurie Villasuso, the Orange IDA’s chief operating officer.
“With that designation our services open up to the Hudson Valley,” Villasuso said. “That’s our economic development region and we are happy and we are proud to serve the Hudson Valley. With our Accelerator here, the Accelerator within walls – the physical building – we have a company from Putnam right now that is in our accelerator and utilizing our machinery and equipment.”
That company, based in Garrison, is called “Unshattered.”
