SOUTH SALEM – State Police at Somers arrested a South Salem woman for seven counts of felony burglary.
A police investigation revealed that on six separate dates beginning on May 4, Baria Kendezi, 22, a store employee, went into the Greenwich Produce Market in South Salem after business hours and allegedly stole cash from the registers.
At about 11 p.m. on May 11, a State Police surveillance team observed her approach the rear of the establishment and a short time later, leave. That’s when she was detained and it was discovered she had just burglarized the market and was in possession of the stolen cash. Police said additional evidence was obtained linking Kendezi to the previous six burglaries.
She was placed in the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $7,500 cash bail.
